Good Pilates Workouts on Youtube!!!

An American at the Bolshoi

Russian Words And Phrases Every Ballerina Should Know

Hey guys! So I was super bored today and decided to make these Quizzlet Flashcards. New Works Review

A week ago I went to see PNB's New Works performance. The there were three performances; 1) A Million Kisses to My Skin, 2) Cylindrical Shadows, and finally 3) Mating Theory. To kick off the performance they started with David Dawson's A Million Kisses to My Skin. This was my personal favorite, and I gave the performance a 9.5/10. My other two friends that attended the show each gave it a 9/10. I liked the way the costumes and the lighting worked out, and the dance seemed to give off an In the Middle Somewhat Elevated feel.
Next was Cylindrical Shadows, my least favorite. Now before I say what I want to say, keep in mind that I love the classics far more than any contemporary ballet. There, now that that's out of the way, I can safely say I gave it a 5/10. Let me also say, I DO NOT BLAME THE DANCERS! They were fabulous. I give them all a 10/10. Honestly...it was the music. It started out normal-ish...and ended with like random bird calls and someone chanting things about shadows. If that's your thing...I sugest that you go see it. If your a classic freak like me however...I'd steer you away from it. However I did like that Karel Cruz and Lindsi Dec did a partnering sequence at the end. :) I give them an 11. :D
Finally it ended with Mating Theory. I liked it, and the dancing was great, but like I've said before, I'm not a fan of contemporary. Still that said, I did like it and thought it was interesting. My only criticism; maybe not dress everyone in grey. But other than that it was good. :)

Finally, as some of you may remember, I posted about their season next year (THEY'RE DOING SWAN LAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). But I realized I failed to post the article that told me about it. So...here it is!

Buy A Braclet

Hey guys!

So here's whats going on...I was asked by my friend to go to Florida with her over spring break. Fun right? Well the only bad part is that it costs a lot of money and I will have to pay for some of it if I want to go. So, I'm making friendship bracelets (2 for $5) and the proceeds will go towards my plane ticket. It would mean a lot if you guys (like my dance friends) would buy one because I've never been (in fact I've only flown on a plane twice *clutch the pearls* and have only been to three states *faint*) and would really like to go.

This piece was done by the New York City ballet. The choreography is by Jerome Robbins. I liked it because it was not like any other piece I'd seen...dancers intentionally trying to look bad...HAHA

HUNGER GAMES BEHIND THE SCENES FOOTAGE!!!

The real deal guys!!!

I think that while the trailer is a very good way of seeing clips of the movie before the actual movie comes out, this behind the scenes footage is also good because there's also some new scenes in there that you haven't seen 1,000,000 times already. :D I also found it cool to see what the movie looks like without some kind of background music score...it's very different. If your a major Hunger Games fan (like me) be sure to check it out.

The Hunger Games Mall Tour!!!

I just got back from the Hunger Games Mall Tour!!! I saw Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and Josh Hutcherson...ALL IN THE SAME PLACE ON THE SAME DAY!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

My friends and I got some good pictures of them...here's a few of Liam Hemsworth!!!

It was like insane!!! As soon as my other friend sends me the really good ones she got I'll post them for you guys. :) She got some of Jennifer and Josh as well (but mainly Liam... <3).

SPEAKING OF LIAM...when I saw him I like went nuts and started jumping up and down like crazy and waving and he just like looked right at me and smiled and I like freaked out and screamed and died...and then to top the day off we also got free makeovers at Sephora and ate at Blue C Sushi and then when it was all over we went and got frozen yogurt. :) BEST DAY EVER!!!

The White Swan Adagio

Out of all great ballets and all the pieces I love, the White Swan Adagio from the ballet Swan Lake has to be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. It has everything from a fantastic score to magnificent choreography. In this version, the dancers are Svetlana Zakharova and Andrei Uvarov. Oh and at the end a piece from Don Quixote starts...just so you know. :)

A Svetlana Zakharova Interview

A New Blog/Tumblr

So by now you guys have most likely read the blogs/tumblrs BallerinaProblems and BalletChihuaua correct? (if not do so now :D)

I was thinking about doing a similar thing. I've recently been into looking at dance photos and I found a website that lets you generate your own images and I was just messing around with it today and it was fun. :)

I'm going out of town until Wednesday but if you guys could please reply and tell me if you would like me to do this or not that would be great. :)
